Graceworks Annual Report Case Study

The Situation

Graceworks produces an Annual Report each year to help tell Graceworks’ story of Faithful Caring – the values that Graceworks’ 900 employees and 1,000 volunteers embody. The Annual Report is distributed to residents, donors, and volunteers by mail, and during Graceworks’ annual board meeting.

The Solution

The Annual Report includes several elements that help tell the full Graceworks story:

  • Feature stories about service lines like Graceworks Housing Services, Enhanced Living and the Senior Companion programs.
  • Highlights from the past year including the number of people served in Graceworks’ residential and community programs.
  • Financial Reports indicating how Graceworks’ income and assets are generated and how funding is dispersed.
  • Donor and Volunteer Lists to recognize individuals and companies who have supported Graceworks’ mission, as well as those who have made plans to support Graceworks after their deaths.

The Annual Report also includes design elements to address Graceworks’ elderly and special needs population. For example, the layout is fairly simple and easy-to-follow, with ample white space. The publication uses a large, sans serif font, and is printed on bright white paper to aid legibility.
